Hess Named Jefferson Athlete of the Week

Watertown, NY— Sophomore Guard, Jacob D. Hess, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) men’s basketball team was named JCC athlete of the week for the week ending November 17, 2019.  JCC's athlete of the week program is sponsored by Victory Promotions and Under Armour.

Jacob, a 2018 graduate of South Jefferson Central School, is majoring in Business Administration at Jefferson.  Hess’ accomplishments on the court this past week included helping the Cannoneers finish 2-1, this due to Jake’s high energy and leadership on the court.  He is always trying to improve his game, when he is not attending class, you can find him in the gym working on his game.  Against Schenectady, Jake would come out flying and lead Jefferson with 16 points in a 94-43 win.  The next day against Fulton-Montgomery, he would score a season high 23 points, taking JCC to a 91-78 win over the raiders.  Jake’s love and passion for the game of basketball is making him into one of the players to watch on this year’s Cannoneer team.
