Sanborn and Ashwood Named Jefferson Co-Athletes of the Week

Sophomore right-handed pitcher/outfielder, William C. Sanborn of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) baseball team, and freshman goalie Dylan T. Ashwood, of the Jefferson men’s lacrosse team, were named JCC co-athletes of the week for the week ending March 25, 2018.  JCC's athlete of the week program is sponsored by Under Armour and Victory Promotions.  

William, a 2016 graduate of Churchville-Chili Central School District, Churchville, NY is majoring in Business Administration at Jefferson.  Sanborn’s accomplishments on the field this past week included going 4-8 at the plate, including 3 RBI, 1 triple in the Mid State Athletic Conference split against Corning Community College.

Dylan, a 2017 graduate of Indian River Central School, is majoring in Mathematics and Science at Jefferson.  Ashwood’s accomplishments in goal this past week included excellent goal play averaging 26 saves in back to back games against Tompkins Cortland Community College and Hudson Valley Community College.  Dylan has really stepped up as a leader for the Cannoneers this year.
