Jefferson Wraps up their Southern Swing Down in Myrtle Beach

Jefferson baseball wrapped up their 8 games in Myrtle Beach, on Thursday they faced Montgomery Community College (PA) and came away with a final score of 5-0. Joshua Navarra went 2-3 with 4 RBI's and Hunter Holliday added 1-3 with two runs scored. Fraser Boyd was the starting pitcher and went the complete game, allowing 0 runs with 1 strike out.

The men's baseball team continued their day with a second game against Chesapeake Community College (MD), with a final score of 8-19. William Sanborn went 1-3 with 2 RBI's and Kevin Kapfer added 2 RBI's and with a homerun.

On Friday, Jefferson faced off against Queensborough Community College (NY). The final score was 5-9, Wilber Guzman went 2-4 while driving in 2 RBI's and 1 stolen base. Ethan Straub went 1 inning pitching, while striking out 1 batter.

Saturday was the final day of the baseball teams southern swing, finishing up the trip against Monroe College (NY). The final score was 1-12, Wilber Guzman and Jason Kavanaugh both went 2-3. Joshua Harvey went 2 1/3 innings with allowing 4 runs, and Matthew McLean pitched 1 2/3 innings, allowing 0 runs and 1 strikeout.

Jefferson Men's Baseball team will now head home and get ready for a pair double headers next week against Onondaga Community College (NY) and Corning Community College (NY), both on the road.
