Game 1 at Herkimer saw the powerful Generals take care of the Cannoneers in 5 innings. Elijah Sherwin was the bright spot for JCC as he battled through 4 innings on the mound, only allowing 1 earned run on 6 hits and struck out 8. Herkimer took advantage of a few free bases to score 10 runs.
Game 2 of the double header saw Herkimer's bats get off to a hot start with a 9-run first inning. A big first inning and dominate pitching led Herkimer to another 5-inning game with JCC. In relief, Kyle Familo and Joey McNulty pitched a combined 3 innings, allowing no earned runs and only 1 hit. Familo struck out 2. Lucas Mackey provided the lone hit for JCC in a pinch-hit at-bat.
