Matthew Sodano enters his second season as assistant coach with cannoneer baseball. Sodano joined the SUNY Jefferson coaching staff in 2024 after 4 years coaching at the high school varsity level, club colligate level, and at Legacy Sports Park in Syracuse, NY where he has developed high school players into colligate baseball players.
At SUNY Oswego, Sodano majored in physics and adolescent education which allows him to communicate effectively to players, use professional technology to analyze players biomechanics and help players academically.
In his first year as infield coach at SUNY Jefferson, Sodano guided the Cannoneers infield to a 0.935 fielding percentage and third in double plays turned in the region.
