Cannoneers Suffer Tough Road Loss

The Cannoneers traveled to SUNY Broome Community College on Saturday looking to get back on track, only to falter by the score of 76-70.  The game would be very close throughout and the Hornets would make key free throws and shots down the stretch.

Leading the way for the Cannoneers were Herby Plaisimond with 17 points , followed by Quincy Aubertine with 16, Josh Newman with 14 and Nickson Merone with 10.

The Cannoneers came home determined to get a win and came very close to doing that.  The Cannoneers would lead most of the game only to see the Lakers of Finger Lakes send the game into OT.  The Lakers came out attacking in OT and would make 12 of 12 from the free throw line in the extra session to win the game by the final 10 point margin of 84-74.

Leading the way for the Cannoneers were Josh Newman with 16 points and 13 rebounds.  Also chipping in were Quincy Aubertine with 16 points and 6 boards.  Herby Plaisimond would add 15 points and Nickson Merone would add 12 points with 6 assists.

Next up is a road conference game at TC3 Wednesday evening.
