Cannoneers Lose Heartbreaker at Home

The Cannoneers opened Region III play at home against the Adirondack Timberwolves on Saturday and lost by the score of 74-73.   The first half was closely as both teams traded buckets and the Cannoneers would lead by 1 at the half.  The second half would be controlled by the Cannoneers until 5 minutes left in the game.  The Cannoneers were up 15 and went ice cold from the field and free throw line and the Timberwolves would get hot from the 3 point line at the right time and then score with 6 seconds left.  The Cannoneers would push the ball up the court only to see their last second attempt roll of the rim for the final score of 74-73.

Leading the way for the Cannoneers were Elijah Smalls with 20 points and 13 rebounds followed by Liam Bonk with 16 points and 7 rebounds.  Also contributing to the cause were Jerry Willis with 12 point and Nate Weaver with 6 points and 13 rebounds.
