#1 Jerry Willis vs Corning 012719

Cannoneers Gain Much Needed Win at Home

The Cannoneers hosted the SUNY Broome Hornets on Monday evening and came away with a much needed 85-68 victory.  The Cannoneers led from start to finish and played one of their most complete games of the year.

The Cannoneers would jump out to an early 10 point lead and would never relinquish it throughout the game.  The Cannoneers would hover around the 20 point lead on several occasions in the second half and maintain this lead until the final buzzer sounded, for the final count of 85-68.

Leading the way was the continued improving play of freshman Liam Bonk.  Liam would finish the game with 27 points, 14 rebounds, and 5 blocks.  Also lending a helping hand was Jerry Willis with 22 points and 4 rebounds.  Continued steady play from Jake Hess 11 points and Malik White 9 points would give the Cannoneers a decisive edge in the game.  Next up is Cayuga on Wednesday night at home.
