Cannoneers Open Season with Win Against Timberwolves

On Saturday, Jefferson got off to a fast start against SUNY Adirondack and never looked back.  The Cannoneers opened the game with a 10-0 run and would lead by 16 at halftime.  The second half would be much of the same as the Cannoneers would extend their lead and clear their bench to finish the timberwolves off.  Leading the way would be Isiah Murphy with 21 points, 6 assists, and 5 rebounds.  He would be helped by Matthew Brown's 18 points and 5 rebounds.  Elijah Parrilla would lend a hand with 12 points and 4 assists.  Isaiah Lemon would have a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds to help the cause.  

On Sunday the Cannoneers would host the visiting Hudson Valley Vikings. Jefferson came out firing on all cylinders and would take a 46-34 lead into the break.  The second half would see the Cannoneers maintain their lead until 10 minutes had elapsed and watch the Vikings go on a run and finally take the lead with 4 minutes left in the game.  The Vikings would hold on to that lead and expand it to the final score of Hudson Valley 84- JCC 75.  Leading the way for the Cannoneers was Isiah Murphy with 39 points and 10 rebounds.  Elijah Parrilla and Matthew Brown would chip in with 11 points each for the Cannoneers in the game.
