Jefferson Lacrosse Come Away with a 22-11 Victory Over the Hawks

On Saturday the Jefferson Men's Lacrosse team played host to Mohawk Valley Community College. in a Region 3 match up at General Brown High School.  The game was tied 5-5 after the first quarter with Paul Bracy leading the way with 3 of the first 5 goals and assisting on another to Nick Hazen. Jason Reape had the other goal in the quarter on a nice pass from Anthony Donato.  After the 1st the Cannoneer defense tightened up and pushed the transition game leading to six 2nd quarter goals and giving the Cannoneers an 11-7 lead at the half.  After halftime the cannoneers started off a little slow as Mohawk Valley scored twice quickly to get the game to 11-9, but the Cannoneers rallied and ripped off 7 straight goals and cruised to a 22-11 victory.  The win puts Jefferson at 4-6 on the season and 3-5 in the Region.  The Cannoneers were led by Anthony Donato (3g-6a), Paul Bracy (7g-1a), Nick Hazen (8g), Eric Mullin (3a), Jason Reape (1g-1a), Haden Baker (1g-1a), Brandon Dibble (1g), Tyler Hooker (1a), and Zachary Miller (1g).  JCC will travel to Broome on Wednesday before finishing off the season at General Brown against Finger Lakes Community College on Saturday.
