JCC Controls Clinton

The Jefferson men's soccer team traveled to Plattsburgh to take on the Clinton Cougars and won the match by a score of 5-0.  The Cannoneers came out firing and put continuous pressure on the Cougars until the 14th miunte when Kyle Barker woud find the back of the net on a beautifully placed shot, assisted by Abdul Sanderson.  30 seconds later, Tim Irwin would be fed a neat pass through by Patrick Rosato and he would also find the back of the net for a 2-0 lead.  It wasn't until the 44th minute that Irwin would strike again after another nice pass from Brenden Jacobs to end the half with a comfortable 3-0 lead.  The Cannoneers wasted no time in the second half as Kyle Barker sent a perfect free kick into the box and Abdul Sanderson hit a well-placed head ball into the back of the net.  Patrick Rosato would finish up the scoring on a neat crossing pass from Tim Irwin for the final score of 5-0.   Next up for the Cannoneers is a big Region III match up versus Mohawk Valley on Saturday.
