The Cannoneer men faced a strong Erie side in their home opener on Saturday September 1. The game would swing in the Kats favor early as they scored two quick goals and would finish off the first half with another goal. The Cannoneers would come out and play their best soccer of the season in the second half, but would not find the back of the net. Erie would add another goal late for the final count of 4-0.
