The Cannoneers hosted the Corning Red Barons on Sunday and came away with a hard fought 3-2 win. The Cannoneers would strike first on a Sidike Doumbia goal assisted by Sebby Mastin to take a 1-0 lead. The Barons would come right back in the next few minutes and tie it on a corner kick. The Cannoneers would bounce back on a takeaway at midfield by Jeffrey Lloyd who found the keeper off his line and hit a nice yard strike to give JCC a 2-1 advantage. The Barons would score off another corner kick to know the score at 2-2. Sebastian Mastin would finish the scoring off a nice assist by Kaden Conners to put the Cannoneers up for the rest of the match. This would all take place in the first 28 minutes of the match and the Cannoneers would hit 3 posts the rest of the contest and outshoot the Barons 22-5. It was a well played match and the Cannoneers have another tough conference game on the road Wednesday.
