Cannoneers Gain Comeback Win

The Cannoneers traveled to Finger Lakes Community College on Wednesday for a Mid State match against the Lakers and won a thrilling 3-2 OT gaqme with a great comeback.  The Cannoneers came out quickly, only to see the momentum switch mid way through the first half on a resulting penalty kick and score by the Lakers.  Soon after, the Lakers would punch in another goal and the Cannoneers would find themselves in a 2 goal deficit.  The second half would see the Cannoneers pressure the Lakers only to come up with nothing to show for it.  With 4:39 left in the match, the Cannoneers kept forging ahead and finally found the net on a well placed shot by Sebastian Mastin.  The Cannoneeers would find the equalizer with 23 seconds left in the match on a beautifully placed shot by Jeffrey Lloyd.  The Cannoneers would continue to pressure in OT, Sebby Mastin would deliver the corner kick and Jalen Cook would find the back of the net with a well placed header to gain the comeback win.  Next up is Clinton at home on Saturday.
