On Sunday the Jefferson Men's Soccer Team honored their sophomores Nolan Parow, Lamarana Bah, Ben Rathbun, and Malachi Adkins during their last home game of the season and as a Cannoneer.
This group of sophomores has been through one of the toughest times a young athlete can encounter. From dealing with Covid to almost not having a team, this group has preserved and kept moving forward with resiliency. Ben Rathbun, Lamarana Bah, Nolan Parow, and Malachi Adkins have shown up and kept working to become better athletes and better people.
The coaching staff and Jefferson athletic community want to wish all of these young men the best of luck in whatever they encounter. Take the lessons that you have learned from this past year and make the world a better place for all. We wish you the very best.
The Cannoneers hosted Jamestown CC on Sunday in their last game of the season, only to fall to the Jayhawks 4-0. Jamestown would jump out to an early lead and never look back. The Jayhawks would score goals in the 16th minute and 20th minute to take a 2-0 lead into the half. The Cannoneers would play spirited soccer in the second half only to see their chances hit a crossbar or post or go wide. Jamestown would add two scores late in the game to make the final score 4-0 in their favor.
