The women's basketball team traveled to Corning to take on the Red Barons in a Mid-State Athletic Conference game. The Cannoneers jumped on the home team early in the first quarter and held 8 point lead 33-25 at the half. The Cannoneers held the Red Barons to 2 points in the third quarter taking a 23 point lead into the 4th, holding on to a 59-43 win to improve to 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the MSAC.
Lakaiya Butcher led the Cannoneers with 25 points, 7 rebounds. Kori Nichols chipped in 11 points and 4 assists. Bridget Watson scored 11 points and grabbed 8 rebounds.
