Game One:
Cayuga scored 2 runs in the top of the first to take an early lead. JCC came back with 2 of their own runs in the bottom of the third, starting with a lead off triple by Beth Anne Neuschwander. Neuschwander led the offense going 3 for 3 with an RBI and 2 runs scored. Jefferson took the lead in the bottom of the 6th after scoring 3 runs. Casey Webb collected a pair of strike outs in the top of the seventh inning to close the door on the Spartans and end the day with a career high 8 strike outs.
Game Two:
The Lady Cannoneers started the offense with 2 runs in the top of the first and another in the top of the second to take an early 3-0 lead, led by Mikayla Kolb's 2 hits and 2 RBIs in her first 2 plate appearances. Cayuga would fight back to tie the score at 3 in the bottom of the forth. They would add a run in the bottom of the fifth to take a 4-3 lead. Kalen Hyde led off the top of the sixth with a double, leading to 3 Jefferson runs as the Cannoneers would take a 6-4 lead. Cayuga plates one more in the bottom of the seventh, Casey Webb once again struck out the final batter of the game to give JCC the 6-5 win and collect the save. Korie Clark picked up the win in game two, pitching 5.1 innings. Kolb finished the day 3 for 3 at the plate with 3 RBIs. Neuschwander picked up another pair of hits, ending the day 5 for 7 at the plate.
