Game One

Jefferson Softball took on the Columbia Greene Softball Twins on Saturday as the last home game of the season and final push to earn a spot in Regional play, set to begin Tuesday May 10th.  The first three innings in game one proved scoreless for each team as both defenses shut down offensive efforts.  Columbia Greene opened the gates in the top of the fourth, beginning with a hit by Caitlin Pasco, her first of the game.  The offense continued as the bases loaded, leading to a grand slam by Brooke Hapeman.  The inning ended with a 7-0 lead by Columbia Greene.  Jefferson plated their only run in the 6th by a sacrifice fly by Lauren Smith to avert the shut out in a 9-1 final score.
