Nichols Named Jefferson Athlete of the Week
Watertown, NY— Freshman Guard, Kori M. Nichols, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) women’s basketball team was named JCC athlete of the week for the week ending December 3, 2023. JCC's athlete of the week program is sponsored by Victory Promotions.
Kori, a 2023 graduate of General Brown High School, is majoring in Childhood Education at Jefferson. Nichols led the Lady Cannoneers in scoring this past week with 19 points and hit key three-point baskets during the 4th quarter of their 15-2 run against North Country Community College. She followed that performance up with 25 points against Tompkins Cortland and helped Jefferson stretch the lead with a 29-point third quarter. Kori leads the Cannoneers in scoring (18.3 PPG), she is tied for steals (26), and 3-point baskets (12). She is a silent leader who hits the big baskets when needed.
