Robinson Named Jefferson Athlete of the Week

Watertown, NY— Freshman pitcher, Kolby S. Robinson, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) Baseball Team was named JCC Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 31, 2024.  JCC's athlete of the week program is sponsored by Victory Promotions. 

Robinson, a 2023 graduate of APW Central School, is majoring in Humanities and Social Sciences at Jefferson. Kolby a freshman left-handed pitcher threw two solid games this week on short rest. On Tuesday at home, Robinson pitched a complete game win in 7 innings, allowing only 1 earned run, striking out 7 to give JCC a big home win over Mohawk Valley Community College. On Saturday at Hudson Valley Community College, Kolby worked extremely hard on the mound, battling a couple dropped balls early and a tight strike zone to give JCC 4 innings pitched where he allowed 1 or no runs in 3 out of the 4 innings. He added 4 strikeouts in that game, which gives him 20 strikeouts on the season across 4 starts and only 6 walks. Kolby has been a key contributor on the mound this season.
