Jefferson sweeps weekend series versus Clinton!

Game #1: Clinton 7 – Jefferson 13

Starter Joshua Amann (Carthage, NY) moved to 5-0 on the year with a 6 inning 1 earned run performance in game one of the weekend series. Amann struck out 9 and only allowed 4 hits in 6 innings of work. At the plate Nathan Mastervick (Niagara Falls, ONT) was 4-4 on the day with 2 RBI. Players with multiple hits were Nicoals Espino (Bronx, NY), Kyle Simmons (Watertown, NY), Tyler Decker (Adams, NY), and Jordan Parker (Rochester, NY).

Game #2: Clinton 1 – Jefferson 20

Starter Jordan Delaney (Watertown, NY) went 4 innings earning his first collegiate win. Delaney surrendered 5 hits and struck out 3. At the plate for Jefferson Michael Mosher (Pulaski, NY) was 3-4 on the day with 4 RBI. Tyler Decker (Adams, NY) added 2 triples and 5 RBI. Jason Hardie (Ajax, ONT) hit a 3-run home run and ended the day 2-2 with 4 RBI.

Game #3: Jefferson 18 – Clinton 3

Starter Ariel Suriel went all 5 innings earning his 3rd win of the year only allowing 5 hits and striking out 4. At the plate the Louie Diaz (Chicago, IL) finished 3-4 with 4 runs and 3 RBI. Tyler Decker (Adams, NY) contributed 3 hits and 5 RBI. Kyle Simmons (Watertown, NY) added 2 hits and 3 RBI.

Game #4: Jefferson 14 – Clinton 4

Starter Junior Garcia (Bronx, NY) earned his first college victory pitching 5 innings and only allowing 3 hits. At the plate 5 different players had 3 hits a piece: Kyle Simmons, Tyler Decker, Erric Barnier, Chris Ballester, and Michael Mosher. Chris Ballester added a double, 3-run home run and 3 RBI on the day.

On the weekend Jefferson put up 67 runs and had 59 hits in the 4 game series. This brings the overall record to 16-11 and 10-2 in the Region III Eastern Division. The Cannoneers will have 6 games in 3 days this week with a 4 game series vs. Columbia-Greene and a double header make up with Fulton-Montgomery. Home games this week are Wednesday vs. Fulton-Montgomery at 12pm/2pm and Thursday vs. Columbia Greene at 2pm/4pm.
