The Cannoneer Baseball Team Finish Regular Season 20-8.

Saturday May 4th:

Game #1:         Hudson Valley 5 – Jefferson 8

Starter Ariel Suriel (Bronx, NY) picked up the victory moving his season record on the mound to 4-0. Suriel went 6.33 innings with 3 strikeouts. At the plate Nathan Mastervick (Niagara Falls, ONT) went 3-3 with 3 RBI. Kyle Simmons (Watertown, NY), Jason Hardie (Ajax, ONT), and Erric Barnier (London, ONT) each provided 2 hits apiece.

Game #2:         Hudson Valley 10 – Jefferson 0

Hudson Valley starter Charles Parslow was too strong on the mound and pitched 5 perfect innings earning the split with Jefferson. Parslow is a freshman left handed pitcher from Fonda, NY who is responsible for 2 of the Cannoneers 8 losses in their division.

Sunday May 5th:

Game #1:         Jefferson 15 – Adirondack 9

Starter Jacob Welch (Spencerport, NY) moved to 7-1 on the season with his victory over 4th ranked Adirondack. Welch pitched 4 innings, allowed 3 earned runs, and struck out 8. At the plate Nathan Mastervick supplied 3 hits including a double. Jason Hardie (Ajax, ONT) went 2-3 with 4 RBI in the game one defeat.

Game #2:         Jefferson 4 – Adirondack 7

The Cannoneers dropped their last game in the regular season after their rally in the top of the 7th was cut short. In the loss Erric Barnier (London, ONT) was 3-3 with an RBI. 

At the conclusion of the 2013 regular season the Cannoneers overall record is 26-17 and 20-8 in the Region III Eastern Division. They are in second place in their division sitting idle while other teams finish their schedules before the Regional Tournament seeding is announced. This marks the first time Jefferson has made the regional playoffs since 2007 and the first time in Coach Northrop's tenure.
