Jefferson Baseball Players, Simmons, Decker, Welch, and Amann Sign to Play in NCAA Sponsored Summer Leagues

Freshmen shortstop Kyle Simmons (Watertown, NY) has signed a contract for the summer of 2013 to play for the Fulton Railroaders in the Ohio Valley League. The Railroaders are based out of Fulton, Kentucky. Simmons will be looked at to play shortstop and pitch over the 45 game season that will last 2 months. The Ohio Valley League has six teams with 5 based out of the state of Kentucky, and one residing in Indiana.

Sophomores Jacob Welch (Spencerport, NY), Tyler Decker (Adams, NY), and Josh Amann (Carthage, NY) have signed temporary contracts for the Watertown Rams in the Perfect Game Collegiate League. Their contracts run for two weeks starting with opening night of the 2013 season. At the conclusion of 2 weeks they may be offered a full season contract depending on the organizations roster numbers. The Perfect Game Collegiate League consists of 10 teams in New York State and each team plays an eight week, 48 game schedule over the summer.
