Brierton and Ramirez Named NJCAA Region III Athletes of the Week

Watertown, NY--Sophomore Attack, Kaitlin A. Brierton, of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) women's lacrosse team and Freshman Pitcher Junior A. Ramirez of the Jefferson Community College (JCC) baseball team were the named NJCAA Region III Athlete of the Week for the week ending April 12, 2015.  Brierton, Calcium, NY, is majoring in Physical Education at Jefferson.  Katie's accomplishments on the field during the past week included helping to the lead the Lady Cannoneers to a 3-0 week, scoring 11 goals and assisting on 12 more as the team defeated Herkimer College, Harford Community College, and Genesee Community College. She also collected 23 grounds balls in the three games.

Junior, Bronx, NY is majoring in Sports Management at Jefferson.  Ramirez's accomplishments on the mound this past week include pitching a complete game shutout against Columbia-Greene Community College.  Junior pitched 7 innings, had 0 runs scored, 2 hits, 5 walks, and 11 strike-outs.
