Edwards Commits

Sophomore catcher Mac Edwards from Kingston, Ontario, Canada has verbally committed to Defiance College in Defiance, Ohio. The Defiance College Yellow Jackets compete in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference under head coach Derek Woodley.

Edwards is having a promising sophomore year in 2015, hitting just under .400 in Region III play and providing leadership to the pitching staff from behind the plate. Edwards provides the young 2015 roster with guidance and experience with his knowledge of the game and his strong desire to compete. He will be counted on to transfer to Defiance College to fill a hole at the catching position next fall.

For the Cannoneers, under Coach Northrop, Mac Edwards is the sixth catcher to transfer to a higher collegiate level over the last seven years.
