The Cannoneers Sweep the Cougars
Last night the Jefferson Baseball team traveled down to Clinton Community College to face the 0-8 Cougars. The Cannoneers got the job done with a 13-4 win in the first game and a 6-0 win in the second game. Outfielder Bradley McQuinn went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 3 RBI's in the first game. In the second game, Brad continued his hitting streak going 3-4 with a double and 3 more RBI's.
Cameron Robbins pitched a two-hit shutout in game two, striking out seven batters. Michael Wood hit a double, a single and had 3 RBI's.
Jefferson will face the Cougars again at home on Thursday in a doubleheader. First pitch is to be thrown at 2:00 pm down at the Alex Duffy Fairgrounds.
