Olivo Commits

Jefferson Baseball Sophomore catcher Emmanuel Olivo (Queens, NY) has verbally committed to continue his college education and athletic career at Shenandoah University located in Winchester, Virginia starting in the fall of 2017. The Shenandoah Hornets compete in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference for Head Coach Kevin Anderson. Coach Anderson has an overall record of 385-177-1 at Shenandoah and his teams have been ranked in every D3baseball.com Top 25 ranking poll since the middle of the 2009 season. Currently as of the week four D3baseball.com Top 25 poll, Shenandoah is ranked 1^st in the nation with an overall record of 14-1.

Olivo had a promising freshmen season for the Cannoneers being a staple behind home plate throughout a late post season push. He will be counted on transferring into Shenandoah to make an immediate impact on their roster right away next fall.

For the Cannoneers, Olivo's current teammate RHP Jarrod Bellinger verbally committed to Cortland State this last fall. Bellinger's future program is 2^nd in the nation behind Shenandoah in the latest D3baseball.com poll.
