Wilcox Commits to SUNY Oswego

Sophomore RHP Benjamin Wilcox (Oyster Bay, Australia) has verbally committed to continue his college education and athletic career at Oswego State starting in the fall of 2018. The Oswego State Lakers compete in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) for Head Coach Scott Landers. Under Coach Landers, Oswego has a 162-83 combined record with a 2017 SUNYAC Championship, 3 NCAA Division III tournament appearances, and a 2017 Division III World Series appearance.

Wilcox had a promising freshmen season for the Cannonneers pitching 14.33 innings posting a 2-1 record and acquiring 1 save. Wilcox will be counted on transferring into Oswego to make an immediate impact on their pitching staff right away in the fall of 2018.

For the Cannoneers, Wilcox is the first sophomore to commit this year. He will join former teammate Dylan Wiley (Cape Vincent, NY) on the roster for Oswego State.
