Jefferson came out firing in game one against the Lazers on Tuesday afternoon, with the final score from the first game being 12-2. The entire line up was able to chip in and contribute to all the runs being scored; Joshua Navarra had a 5-5 day at the plate with 2 RBI's. Connor Loveless went 1-3 while hitting a 2 run homer, and Naim Bibovic added a grand slam in the top of the 7th inning. William Magovney took the mound for Jefferson, and never came off. Magovney pitched the entire 7 inning game to earn his first collegiate win, he was very efficient early on and kept Onondaga's hitters off balance while tallying 5 strike outs, only giving up 7 hits and 2 earned runs.
Game two went in favor of Onondaga Community College, with a final score of 4-10 in 5 innings due to weather conditions. Joshua Navarra went 2-2 with a triple and 1 RBI, while Naim Bibovic contributed by going 3-3 at the plate and 1 RBI as well. Randolph Flores was the starting pitcher for game two, going 3 innings on the mound. Flores allowed 1 earned run while striking out 3 batters.
Jefferson Baseball continues their Mid State Athletic Conference play on Wednesday, March 28 at Cornell University, against Tompkins-Cortland Community College. First game is scheduled for 2:00 pm start and game two is slotted for a 4:00 pm start.
