Cannoneers Went 1-1 on the Weekend at the Anthony Torchia Memorial Classic

On the first day we competed against Genesee Community College and lost by a score of 86-71.   It was much closer than the score indicated as we battled to a 36-36 halftime tie and then Genesee pulled away in the second half.  Jagger Freeman and Dustin Pond led the way with 25 and 20 points respectively.  On the second day, the Cannoneers looked for their first win and came away with an exciting come from behind 70-69 victory.  Defense won the game as the Cannoneers held Queensborough to only 3 points over the final 4 minutes of the game and 26 in the second half.  Dustin Pond led the way with 20 points followed by Ryan Tomlin with 19 and Jagger Freeman with 13.  The Cannoneers finished in third place and Jagger Freeman made the All- Tournament team.
