The Cannoneers defeated the Cayuga Spartans tonight in the first round of the Mid State Athletic Conference Tournament 76-69. It was a tough battle that went back and forth, but in the end the Cannoneers would defeat their conference foe for the 3rd time this season. Leading the way for the Cannoneers would be Christian Rohlehr with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 blocked shots. Javon Hunter also chipped in with 16 points. Karaan Newsome added 12 points, while Ismaeel Safo added 10 points in the win. Rounding out the score sheet were Natell Windley with 9 points, Latrelle Lee with 7 points and Terris Purnell with 6 points.
