Cannoneers Lose Close Battle to Finger Lakes in MSAC Championship Game.

The #2 Cannoneers battled the #1 Lakers of Finger Lakes in the 2016 Mid State Athletic Conference Championship and the game did not disappoint anyone that watched it.  It was back and forth the whole game, with Jefferson having a chance to tie or win it in the last 22 seconds, only to see the shot fall short and the Lakers take home the championship 91-87.  It was a great game by both teams and everyone left everything on the court in a well-played contest.  Leading the way for the Cannoneers were Javon Hunter with 19 points, Karaan Newsome with 16 points and 6 rebounds, Ismaeel Safo with 16 points, Natell Windley with 10 points and 5 assists and Christian Rohlehr and Latrelle Lee with 13 points each.  A great Mid State season for the Cannoneers and now they are off to Regional play.
