Generals Outlast the Cannoneers

The Herkimer Generals came to town on Thursday night as the number 1 team in the the region and the Cannoneers had their hands full.  The Cannonneers played even with the Generals for most of the first half only to see the visitors extend their lead to 16 at half.  The Generals came out in the second half and took it to the Cannoneers.  The lead extended to 30 before the Cannoneers would mount a furious comeback in the final 6 minutes to cut the lead to 10 only to see the game finish out with the Generals claiming a hard fought 94-83 win.  Leading the way for the Cannoneers was Anthony Lindor as he kept the Cannoneers in the game with 28 points.  Not far behind was Christian Rohlehr with 26 points and Quincy Aubertine with 15 points.  Rounding out the score sheet for the Cannoneers were Rashaun Thomas with 6 points, Markees Cruz and Marshall Roberts-Payne with 3 each and Jerry Williams with 2.  Next up is a Saturday home region III contest versus Columbia-Greene.
