Cannoneers Squeak Out Victory Over Twins in OT

The Cannoneers got back on track versus the Columbia-Greene Twins and came away with a hard fought 98-95 OT win on Saturday.  The Cannoneers played nearly flawless basketball in the first half as they would lead 54-40 at half.  The second half started the same way the first half started with the Cannoneers rolling along as they would lead by 15 after the first 5 minutes.  The twins would slowly work their way back into the game and eventually tie the game with 8 minutes left.  Jefferson would hold the lead until the 2:40 mark and the Twins finally took a 2 point lead in to the final minutes of the game.  JCC would play solid defense and tie the game with 47 seconds left on two Jameir Sudler free throws and the game would go into overtime.  The Cannonneers would race out to an 8 point lead and hold on for the Regiion III victory.

Leading the way for the Cannoneers were Quincy Aubertine with 27 points and 7 rebounds, Christian Rohlehr with 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 blocked shots and Jameir Sudler with 19 points and a 9/10 showing from the free throw line.  Also aiding in the win were Anthony Lindor with his continued steady play of 16 points, and 4 assists.  Markees Cruz would also continue his steady play with 6 points , 11 rebounds and 2 assists.  Jerry Williams would also come off the bench and have a solid game with 6 points and 8 rebounds.  A solid team win for the Cannoneers.
