The Cannoneers welcomed the Division II Genesee Cougars to the McVean Center Gymnasium on Sunday and came away with a tough 92-87 loss to the Cougars. Once again Jefferson came out playing with intensity and would trail at halftime by a 37-35 score. The second half would be back and forth only to watch the Cougars pull away and corral the final 5 point win over the host Cannoneers. Leading the way for JCC was Christian Rohlehr with 25 points, 11 rebounds and 9 blocked shots. Also aiding the cause was Jameir Sudler with 22 points and 4 assists. Quincy Aubertine would add 13 points and Markees Cruz would have another solid game with 9 points, 15 rebounds and 7 assists. Anthony lindor would chip in with 8 points in the losing effort. Next up is the final game of the first semester as the Cannoneers travel to North Country Community College to face the Saints in a Region III battle on Saturday.
