Cannoneers Hang on For MSAC Win!

The Cannoneers hosted the Broome Hornets on Monday night in a make-up contest and didn't disappoint the faithful who showed up to watch.  The first half was some of the best basketball the Cannoneers have played all season as they jumped out to a 45-28 halftime lead.  The Cannoneers would continue to expand that lead to as much as 20 points in the second half, only to see Broome mount a furious rally and actually take the lead by 2 points with 3 minutes to go.  The Cannoneers would not lose their cool and make timely plays, as well as clutch free throws down the stretch to secure a 88-84 win over the Hornets.  Quncy Aubertine (20 points) and Christian Rohlehr's (20 point, 11 rebound and 8 block night) would lead the way for the Cannoneers.  Anthony Lindor would play one of his best all-around games with 14 points and 6 rebounds to help anchor the win.  Jameir Sudler would help out with 10 points and Markees Cruz would continue his steady play with 6 points and 6 rebounds.  Big contributions came from Antoine Domino (6 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists) , as well as Marshall Roberts-Payne (6 points and 3 assists) Islam Haggag (4 points and Jerry Williams (2 points) off the bench.  A great team effort and a much needed win in conference.  Next up is Cayuga on Wednesday night away at 7:30
