Cannoneers Open New Year With a Win

The Cannoneers entertained the Mighty Oaks of ESF(Syracuse) and came away with a hard fought 83-71 victory.  The Cannoneers would start out strong and push the lead to as many as 16 only to see the Oaks fight back and get as close as 6 points in the final minutes of the contest.  Once again, balanced scoring would be the key to the Cannoneer victory.  Six players would be in double figures, led by Isiah Murphy with 14 points, followed by 13 points apiece from Dysheen Harrell and Liam Bonk.  Closely behind them was Joshua Newman with 12 points and Jake Hess and Kyle Nichols with 11 points apiece.  Jalen Stewart would almost crack the double digit scoring parade with 9 points.  It would be the Cannoneers 8th straight victory of the season.
