The Cannoneers would not get out of the gate on Saturday against the Corning Red Barons and find themselves in a huge halftime deficit. They would battle back and cut the lead to 5 points with under a minute to go, only to see the Barons make free throws and pull away for the final score of 80-72. Leading the way for the Cannoneers were Joshua Newman with 22 points/8 rebounds and Isiah Murphy with 15 points/9 assists. The Cannoneers have a week off before resuming play at SUNY Broome next Saturday in an important Mid State conference game.
