Jefferson Moves on to the Regional Quarter-Finals

The Cannoneers hosted Cayuga on Saturday and came away with an impressive Region playoff victory by the score of 92-67.  It was the 3rd time that the two teams had played this year and the Cannoneers would put the game away early in the second half.  Great team play and solid defense would be the key to success for the Cannoneers as they would continually find the open man throughout the contest.

Leading the way for the Cannoneers was Jake Hess, who would have a hot hand and score 27 points.  Backing him up was Liam Bonk who would score 19 points, along with Joshua Newman and Isiah Murphy with 12 points each.  Howard Turner would also have a solid game by contributing 8 points off the bench.  Next up for the Cannoneers is a quarterfinal match up with Herkimer at 5 pm Tuesday at Herkimer.
