Current Players and Former Jefferson Lacrosse Players Go Head to Head in Annual Alumni Game

The Annual Pete Gaskin Memorial Alumni Lacrosse game was held on Sunday, October 12.  The Alumni raced out to a 3-1 lead in the first quarter against the current Cannoneers getting goals from alum Mike Ross, Randy Seymour & Sean McCauliffe while Ryan Cook Scored the lone goal for the current squad.  By Halftime the tides had turned and the current Jefferson Men's Lacrosse team scored 4 unanswered goals to put the Cannoneer's up 5-3 at half led by defenders Jaime Grimm, Lucas Clark, Willie Scott & Mike Marra.  Scoring for the squad were Matt Kerber, Ryan Cook, Lucas Clark and Phil Isberner.  Alumni Goalie Gordy Wiltse and Current Goalie Kyle Wratten both played great halves in the net making some great saves.  After halftime it was all Alumni in the 3rd quarter as the evened up the score at 6-6 and never looked back getting a 9-6 lead by the end of the third.  Tallying goals for the alumni were Jason Stowell, Tanner Pratt(2), Mike Ross, Dan Boshart & Geoff Eliopolos.  The final quarter went back and forth with the current squad chipping away but came up short as the final score was 11-9.  Other contributors for the Cannoneers in the second half were Tyler Swarthout, James Brossoit, Ryan Cook(2).  Devin Heldt looked to be in his old form as JCC all time saves leader between the pipes while Shane Rowell got his first ever lacrosse game under his belt in the cage.  The day was made extra special with the family of Pete Gaskin in attendance.  Thanks to the Alumni, The Gaskin's, and all the families for their continued support of JCC men's lacrosse.
