Bio

Coach Parker is entering first year as an Assistant Men’s Lacrosse Coach at SUNY Jefferson.  Chad brings with him almost 20 years of coaching experience; both at the High School and Collegiate levels respectively.

Before Jefferson, Chad was at General Brown High School. First as a Head Coach at the Modified and Junior Varsity Levels, then as the Varsity Assistant Coach. Chad’s roll, as an assistant at GB, was that of Defensive Coordinator. Over his 6 years at that position his defensive unit allowed less than 7 goals per game and amassed a 67-20 (77%) overall record. Prior to moving back to the area and returning to coach at his High School Alma Mater Chad was an Assistant Coach at Utica College (University) from 2001-2005.  At Utica Chad worked under Syracuse standout Tim Nelson. Chad was an integral part of UC’s recruiting, community service program, practice plaining, and the team’s overall day to day operations.

Chad has spent every summer, for the last 8 years, coaching travel lacrosse teams from the greater Watertown area. First, at Rhino Lacrosse NC for Carthage native and Syracuse Alum, Ryan Powell and then the last 5 years for Unity Lacrosse Club. Last summer, Unity’s 2023 team cumulated a 16-2 record and 3 tournament championships, with him at the helm. As a player, Chad started his collegiate lacrosse career as a Cannoneer from 1997-1999 under legendary coach Terry O’Brien and then at Utica College (University) from 1999-2001. While at SUNY Jefferson Chad was part of two of winningest teams in Cannoneer history. After SUNY Jefferson he was one of six former Cannoneer players that went on to be founding members of the Pioneer lacrosse program at Utica.

Coach Parker currently resides in Brownville with his wife, Stephanie, a teacher at nearby General Brown Elementary. They have four children, Drew, a former Cannoneer Lacrosse player; Emily, a current SUNY Jefferson student and soccer player; Madison a Junior at General Brown Central School; and William a 7th grader at General Brown Central School.
