The Cannoneers dropped 2 to the Hawks!
The Jefferson Cannoneers fell to the visiting Mohawk Valley Hawks 6-3 yesterday in a Region III match-up. At half-time the score was 5-0, but the Cannoneers tried to battle back in the second half by scoring 3 goals.
Nick Barker, scored a goal for Jefferson after returning to play from being sidelined for a shoulder injury. Andrew Guyette and Kemar Farquharson also scored a goal for the Cannoneers.
Sam Lyndaker had 8 saves and Darrin Oliver had 7 saves in goal.
Down at the Watertown Fairgrounds the Lady Cannoneers could not stop the offense of the Lady Hawks losing to them 5-1 in a Region III match up.
Athlete of the Week, Morgan Kiernan scored the lone goal for Jefferson. Amber Dibble had 9 saves in goal.
Check out both teams this weekend as they play at home Saturday against Erie Community College with a 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm start, and on Sunday against Niagara County Community College with a 1:00 pm and 3:00 pm start here at the college.
