The Cannoneers Open Their Season With a Win!

On Saturday the Jefferson Men's Soccer team defeated the visiting Corning Red Barons 2-1 in the season opener.

South Jefferson graduate Kraig Steele scored the first goal for the Cannoneers, while Cody Carpenter, a graduate of Lowville Academy scored the second goal, assisted by Ian Kearns of Alexandria Central.

Jacob LaClair (Indian River) had 6 saves for Jefferson.

The Cannoneer will face Cayuga tonight down at the Watertown Fairgrounds at 7:00 pm.
