Mother Nature Makes a Showing on the Soccer Field Saturday

Saturday proved challenging for both the Cannoneers and their opponents on Saturday as they battled both weather conditions and each other on the field.  The rain and high winds made a difficult fight more difficult.  Although the Cannoneers put up a strong fight, they were unable to defeat SUNY Delhi.

Women's Soccer

The Lady Cannoneers started strong taking the lead within 4 minutes from the start of the game with a goal from Freshman Forward Destiny Hull, assisted by Whitney Maitland.  The Lady Broncos answered with 3 more goals, defeating Jefferson 3-1.  Kate Gehrke had 13 saves in goal.  Their next game will be on the road tomorrow against Broome Community College.

Men's Soccer

Assistant Coach Chris Carter took the helm on Saturday's Men's Soccer game against the Bronco's.  With the weather conditions and the lack of subs the Cannoneers were not able to overcome SUNY Delhi, as they were defeated 7-0.
