Jefferson 's First 2 Games End in Overtime

JCC battles TC3 to 2OT, ends in 2-2 tie!

JCC traveled to Tompkins Cortland the other night in a Mid-State Athletic Conference battle and came away with a hard fought 2-2 ovetime tie.  JCC would eventually lose the penalty kick battle 4-3 for Region III seeding purposes and saw their record go to 0-0-1 for the season.  TC3 came out firing in the first half and would take a 2-0 lead until the latter stages of the first half when Tim Irwin found the back of the net to pull the Cannoneers to within one goal at halftime.  The second half would be all Cannoneers and they would finally tie the game, as Patrick Rosato found the back of the net.  In both overtimes, each team had several chances, but could not find the winning score and the game would be decided with penalty kicks going in favor of TC3 by a 4-3 advantage

JCC and Erie go to extra time to decide outcome!

In a tale of two halves, this game between Jefferson and Erie would have drama all over the place.  Erie jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead and the Cannoneers would once again find a way to claw back into the game.  In a first half that was dominated by the visiting Kats of Erie, JCC would dig down deep in the final minutes and close to within one on a Patrick Rosato goal and that ignited the Cannoneers for the rest of the game.  The Cannoneers would control play most of the second half and finally get the tying goal with 2.5 seconds left, as Patrick Rosato continued his scoring ways.  The overtime would produce heartbreak for the Cannoneers as they controlled play for the first few minutes and Erie would score on a direct kick with 5 minutes gone to win the match by a final of 3-2.
