JCC Loses Halftime Lead, Fall to the Hornets

The JCC men's soccer team put together one of their most impressive halves as they took a 2-0 lead into the intermission.  The second half was a totally different story as the Broome Hornets came out flying and stung the Cannoneers for 4 straight goals to start the second half and take a 4-2 lead with 20 minutes left in the game.  In true, spirited fashion of the Cannoneers, they didn't give up and scored a goal with about 13 minutes left in the match and took the play to the Hornets for the rest of the game.  A penalty kick attempt with 3 minutes to go would have sent the game into overtime, but the Hornet keeper made an outstanding save to preserve the match for Broome and see their record go to 9-0.  Scoring for the Cannoneers were Tim Irwin, Patrick Rosato and Edward Goodall.  Assisting on the goals were Kyle Barker, Tim Irwin and Patrick Rosato.

Next up is national powerhouse Genesee Community College on the road Saturday.
