Men’s Soccer Falls to #2 Ranked Herkimer Generals

The JCC men's soccer team gave a gritty performance against the number 2, undefeated team in the country, Herkimer on Wednesday afternoon.

The men held tough in the first half, only to give up to 2 own goals and trail 3-0 at halftime.  The second half would see the Cannonneers  play much more spirited soccer and give the Herkimer team a challenge as they would continue to pressure the Generals and score against them.  Hunter Birchenough would score a header to cut the lead to 4-1, but the Generals would bounce back with 2 more goals for the final score of 6-1.  Next up are 2 important home games for the Cannoneers as they continue to strive for regional play this weekend.
