Ed Goodall vs SUNY Adirondack

Cannoneers Fall in Sunday's Game against the Raiders

The Cannoneers came out playing inspired soccer on Sunday afternoon and held a 2-1 advantage at halftime, outplaying the Raiders of Fulton Montgomery Community College for most of the first half.  Edward Goodall got things going for the Cannoneers in the 4th minute with a nifty goal splitting two defenders for the finish.  The Cannoneers would not let up as they kept pressuring and played the ball to the flank where Aaron Zehr would break free and find Hunter Birchenough for a neat finish for a 2-0 lead.  The Raiders would gain one back 20 minutes later to cut the deficit to one at halftime.

The second half started much the same way as the first, as the Cannoneers would extend the lead to 3-1 one minute into the second half on a pretty goal from Tim Fowler.  the game would be back and forth for the next 15 minutes and then the Raiders would score 5 unanswered goals to end the match for the final tally of 6-3 in favor of the Raiders.  The Cannoneers next travel to SUNY Broome Community College on Wednesday.
