Last night at the Watertown Fairgrounds, the Jefferson Softball team took on the visiting Mohawk Valley Lady Hawks. In the first game outfielder Kacie Updike went 2-3 with a double and scoring 2 runs. Madison Besaw homered and had 1 RBI. Logan Labiendo also contributed 2 hits and 2 RBIs. Courtney Laflesh pitched a 7 inning shutout, striking out 6 batters. The Lady Cannoneers went on to beat Mohawk Valley 6-0. In the second game, Samantha Dibble stole the show going 4 for 5 at the plate, with 2 runs, 1 RBI, a triple, and 2 stolen bases. Kacie Updike also had 3 hits, 2 of which were doubles and 1 RBI. Madison Besaw was the winning pitcher, striking out 2 batters.
