The Lady Cannoneers Lose a Tough One at Home

The 9-1 Jefferson Women's Lacrosse team and the 9-1 Onondaga Lady Lazers met last night on the General Brown Turf Field to determine who would take the #2 spot behind the #1 Monroe College in the Region III Standings.  A tough battle was fought but in the end Onondaga held on to a 19-15 win over the Lady Cannoneers.  Mackenzie Kidder led Jefferson with 7 goals, while Kaitlin Brierton contributed 3 goals and 1 assist. Annette Rishe scored 2 goals, 1 assist.  Also scoring for JCC were Madesyn Alexander and Taylor Rosette.   Victoria Fusco had 12 saves in goal.

Up next for women's lacrosse is their match on Saturday at Niagara County Community College.  Game time is set for 1:00 pm.
